In recent years, vibration accidents of high-rise columns frequnently occur in multiple petrochemical enterprises. Sustained severe vibration not only make it difficulty to run normal production and the column occur severe deformation, but also the column is damaged. Therefore, it has become an urgent requirement to analyze dynamic response pattern of the high-rise column under wind load. However, it is difficult to analyze dynamic response of the high-rise column that wind load is equivalent to static load in domestic and international standards at present. In this paper, wind vibration anlysis of the high-rise plate column in a petrochemical project, will provide a reference for the normal operation、structural improvements、anti-vibration analysis of the high-rise column in petrochemical enterprises. In this paper, the detailed work and gain are as follows:(1)Finite element model of the high-rise plate column was estabished and the column’s modal was analyzed. Thought it, front four vibration modes were obtained. In additon, the impace of the height to diameter ratio on the column was analyzed.(2)In this paper, Karman vertex flow field of the plate column was numerical simulation in FLUENT under iedex wind speed distribution that is different with the traditional segmentation method of wind load. Iedex wind speed distribution along the height is closer to column’s real wind load. With it, wind vibration response of column can be more accurately studied. Wind flow phenomena around the column was displayed; Column’s pressure distribution under different wind speeds were calculated; Pressure、Karman vertex flow field、cross-force、down-force were analyzed under the same wind speeds in different column’s height and the same column’s height in different wind speeds.(3)Time-varying wind load in FLUENT was imported transient structural in ANSYS Workbench by fluid-structure coupling method. Dynamic response for different wind speeds were acquired. Time curve of cross-wind and down-wind were calculated. Vibration forms under resonance and nonresonant were analyzed. Simulation accuracy was tested by contrast with traditional Rumman method. At the same time, the shortcoming was corrected that tadditional method can only get cross-wind amplitude, unable to analysis down-wind vibration and vibration process.(4)Fatigue life were analyzed of the high-rise plate column, by the corss-wind stress time curve in transient structural.
