Organic molecular material has become the main theme in organic functional materials, as it is synthesized simply, low cost and has stable property and the functional guidance. As is known, the development of organic functional molecules and organic molecular materials are linked inextricably, so that the synthesis and assembly of novel organic conjugated molecules play an important role in the development of organic functional materials. As a good organic electron donor, tetrathiafulvalene(TTF) and its derivatives have great prospects in the preparation of multifunctional organic molecular materials. In this paper, we used three TTF derivatives and metal as ligands to synthesis metal coordination compounds by coordination self-assemble and then characterized these compounds. This article is divided into four parts: In these decades, scientists have wide interests in exploring organic functional materials.Firstly, the introduction is mainly talked about the research background, the characteristics of TTF and its derivatives and the development of different TTF derivatives.Secondly, synthesis, crystal structure and electrochemical properties of two transition metal coordination complex, Co(acac)2?(EDO-TTF-4-py)2?CH3CN(1), Zn Br2?(EDO-TTF-4-py)2(2), are reported, where acac = acetylacetonate and EDO-TTF-4-py(L1) [EDO-TTF = ethylenedioxotetrathiafulvalene;py=pyridine]. And the molecular structure and the intermolecular interactions of the compound have been studied. Then the electrochemistry, UV-vis spectrum and magnetism also have been investigated. Lastly we also discuss the corresponding relations between experimental results and theoretical by quantitative.Thirdly, two Zn(Ⅱ) hybrid complexes of EDT-TTF-4-py,(EDT-TTF-4-py = 4-ethylene-dithiotetrathiafulvalenyl-pyridine) have been synthesized and characterized in micro and bulk crystal forms. These two complexes were synthesized by coordinative self-assemble through a solution process. And we prove the micro-crystal and bulk crystal have the same constitute through a series of characterization. And more interestingly, atroom temperature, the complex 2,(EDT-TTF-4-py)2?Zn Br2?CH2Cl2 show high conductivity without external manipulation.Lastly, the synthesis of a serie of M(DMIT) metal coordination compounds: in this part, we used compound B and different metal(Ni, Pd, Cu, Co) to prepare compounds. The structure of the complex has been characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction. And the molecular structure and the intermolecular interactions of the compound have been studied. Then the electrochemistry and UV-vis spectrum also have been investigated.
