| Stainless steel clad plate possesses both strong anti-corrosion of stainless steel and excellent mechanical properties of low alloy steel, widely used in major equipment industries such as maritime engineering, water conservancy and electric power, high-quality oil and gas pipelines etc. In this paper, the microstructure characteristic and comprehensive performance of stainless steel clad plate which is combined by stainless steel(316L) and low alloy steel(Q345R) are systematically studied, and the effects of hot rolling and heat treatment on the microstructure and properties of 316L/Q345 R stainless steel clad plate are investigated, so there is an important guiding significance to enhance the quality of stainless steel clad plate.The 316L/Q345 R stainless steel clad plate samples were manufactured by vacuum hot rolling and symmetric assembly, the production process and key technology were introduced, and the technical route of experimental study was determined. According to the characteristics of 316 L and Q345 R and the performance requirements of clad plate, three kinds of heat treatment processes were made: rapid cooling, rapid cooling and tempering, rapid cooling and slow cooling.The microstructure and properties of stainless steel clad plate after hot rolled and heat treatment were observed and tested, scanning electron microscope was used to investigate the microstructure topography of base, clad and interface, energy spectrum analysis was used to test the ingredients of interfacial inclusion and line scanning, points in the clad plate near interface were taken for vickers hardness testing and hardness curve was plotted, applying shear, corrode tests to test the binding properties, corrosion resistance of the stainless steel clad plate, the strength and plasticity data were measured by tensile and impact tests.According to the experimental results, the microstructure characteristic of stainless steel clad plate samples, degree of elements diffusion, formation and distribution of inclusions, and the factors were analyzed, hardness variation near the interface were obtained, the intrinsic relationship between microstructure and properties was studied, the difference between microstructure topography and comprehensive performance of stainless steel clad plate under different states were compared, and the suitable heat treatment process for the clad plate was found. |
