For the choice of protective layer, the traditional method often takes the coal quality as the priority exploitation principle, rather than the coal seam which has little or no outburst danger. Through a large number of field investigations, the choice of protective layers is unreasonable in some mines. The coal seams which have good coal quality and high thick are often selected. Accidents frequently happen in coal mines since there are no scientifc systems, gas control measures. Therefore, study on the selection of protective layer and mining sequence coal seams is imperative.On the basis of widely collected data and much of the field investigations, this topic focused on the concrete situations in Yizhong coal mine of Xiangneng group,combined with theoretical analysis, used SQL Server2008 and Visual Studio2010 platform and C language, the selection system of protective layers for outburst mines was developed. By numerical simulation of FLAC3 D, Study on the selection of protective layer in outburst mines, mining and development replacement of protected seam in the range of protective layer, mining sequence of coal seam groups were conducted respectively.The selection system of protective layers was established by using computer numerical simulation, by weight analysis of many factors and indexes, the system established three-stage reference standards. After the measured parameters were input in coal mine, the system can conduct longitudinal and transverse comparison analysis according to the background commands which were previously compiled, and this concretized the numerical simulation results, the proper protective layer was gained according to the different situations in coal mines. Focusing on YiZhong coal mine,the system successfully chose no.14 coal seam as a protective layer by optimization.When applied to the selection of six layer coals in Jinjia coal mines, the system finally optimized the no.22 coal seam as the protective layer. From the mining situations of Jinjia coal mine, that selecting the no.22 coal seam as the underside protective seam achieved a good production effect.After the protective layer was selected, sudy on the work of mining and development replacement for the protected layer was conducted. Numerical simulation on the protection range of protective layer and the effect of underside protective seam mining on each coal seam was conducted by using FlAC3 D software.By simulating the distribution of the vertical principal stress,vertical displacement,plastic zone and the change of horizontal displacement of protective layer, the stress release and swelling deformation of coal seams can be drawn.
