The overlying strata in mining broken fissures are major factors of mine water channel, the mining process, development, expansion of rock fracture evolution law provides important guidance for the prediction of water inrush of water and mine water disaster prevention decision. The overlying goaf rock stratum crack breaking rules relative to the overlying no goaf is more complex, and the working face roof fracture more easily conduction. Therefore, in-depth study of the characteristics of overlying goaf water channels have the important theory significance and engineering value for the coal mine production.Based on the collation, summary, analysis on the results of previous studies, prediction, prevention and other issues to South Gan Zhuang mine 8# coal mining working face roof abnormal water inrush as the engineering background,using the theoretical analysis, numerical simulation, and the application of transient electromagnetic method and DC electrical field measuring means for mining area on the rock the overlying goaf water conducting channel expansion, the evolution rules of in-depth research,and detecting the location of water in the goaf.
