On the research of metal nanoparticles, especially for the morphology controllable preparation and the study of optical properties have been a hot research topic in the field of physical and related sciences. In recent years, there has been a great progress in the Gold nanorods(GNRs) research, up till now, researchers have used template mothod, photochemical method, seed-mediated method, electrochemical method and many other methods to prepare the different length to diameter ratio gold nanorods and have adopted them into biological detection, medical diagnosis, optical imaging, spectroscopy and many different fields.GNRs was prepared by seed growth methods, and a layer of silica was covered on the GNRs, Rhodamine 6G, Rose Bengal sodium salt and Fluorescein isothiocyanate three fluorescent substances were adopted to polish the surface in order to prepare the composite nano materials. Researches on influences of the GNRs after silica polishing of three different fluorescent substances to the surface plasmon resonance,SPR peak value and surface enhanced Raman scattering,SERS were conducted.Under the given experimental condition, the three kinds of surface modification agent on the surface from the primary resonance peak strength test, the results show that Rhodamine 6G by modified silica package GNRs lateral surface of the sample from the primary resonance peak strength is 1.24 times that of ordinary silica package samples of gold nanorods. After natural Raman spectra of three kinds of fluorescence material and surface enhanced Raman scattering spectrum to make comparison and analysis, the result shows that natural Raman spectroscopy and surface enhanced Raman scattering on the overall peak type with high consistency, and the intensity change is obvious. So GNRs can be concluded that silica package material surface modification have fluorescent substance, and the enhanced Raman scattering effect is quite obvious.
