Cold forging is a kind of precision plastic forming technology,It has many advantages, such as high production efficiency,high precision,high material utilization, good mechanical properties of products and so on, It can be used to product the final manufacturing. With the development of cold forging technology, The enterprise demand for equipment is tightening.But there is a certain gap cold forging equipment manufacturing technology between domestic and the developed counties, So it has important theoretical and practical significance for the independent research and development of cold forging press. This paper for 500 tons of horizontal cold forging press to carry on the design and relevant research of the problem.Firstly, according to the kinematics and dynamics analysis of common tension toggle lever mechanism, pressure toggle lever mechanism and generalized toggle lever mechanism of these three kinds of toggle lever mechanism toggle based on ADAMS, the suitable toggle lever mechanism for cold forging press agencies is selected through the comparison of simulation data and cold forging equipment selection process; According to generalized toggle lever mechanism of three kinds of bias on the organization’s dynamic performance is analyzed, the appropriate offset form is choose; According to optimization of drive mechanism system, it is concluded that the best gear ratio and gear transmission series, layout form of the gear transmission system; With three division drawing software this paper build the model of horizontal cold forging press and validate by ADAMS simulation software.Secondly,according to the modeling of the transmission mechanism of cold forging press and the application of complex number vector method, each component of the speed, acceleration and displacement equation are obtained; Application of D’alembert principle statics analysis for toggle lever mechanism, this paper build the relationship between each component of mechanics; Using genetic algorithm to optimize a toggle lever mechanism the optimal solution of parameters are obtained.Finally,this paper design accessories balance cylinder and verify by ADAMS simulation that the addition of balance cylinder can effectively reduce variation on the traditional system, improve the dynamic performance of press; According to the simulation under the condition of different load simulation, which determined balance cylinder layout and proper offset balance cylinder size by the size of the crank torque under different schemes; Though joint simulation of ADAMS and DYNAFORM, that reasonable layout of balance cylinder can improve work piece machining accuracy is verified.
