With the continuous development of automobile technology, people has higher requirement for automotive ride comfort. Tire as the only contact with the ground, whose vibration characteristics are related to the smoothness, comfort and other properties of a car. The noise produced by the tire has great influence on both inside and outside environment of the vehicle, especially the radiated noise produced by the vibration of tire is one of the important factor that effect the vehicle inside environment. In this paper, the modal analysis of tire under the different working conditions is performed and the characteristics of radiated noise produced by the vibration are studied, and these have important significance for the improvement of the overall vehicle performance and the traffic environment.The radial tire finite element model is built by using the finite element analysis software ABAQUS based on considering the bead-rim contact and tread-road contact in this paper, and the working conditions of rim fixed, inflation and load are simulated. The results showed that the tire affected by the stress because of the rim fixed; the whole stiffness of tire increased under the inflation state and the deformation occurred on the grounding part of tire and the tire shape is no longer on the ax symmetric because of the effect of load.The modal and influence factors of radial tire are analyzed. The vibration modals of tire affect the sound radiation characteristics and relate to the many properties of vehicle. On the basis of researching the finite element modal analysis theory, the modal analysis of tire is worked out and the impact of working conditions on the modal parameters is studied. The results showed that the radial natural frequency of tire increase about 3Hz and the lateral natural frequency of tire increase about 4Hz because of the rim fixed; the natural frequency of tire increase and the modal vibration mode remain the same when the inflation pressure increase and the natural frequency and modal vibration mode of tire are both change due to the effect of load.The radiated noise due to the tire vibration and the control method are studied. The vibration response of tire is calculated when the grounding part of tire is subjected to the radial excitation. Vibration response as the acoustic boundary condition, the acoustic boundary element model of tire based on LMS Virtual. Lab is established and the simulation calculation of the tire vibration noise and the characteristics analysis are worked out, as well as the control of tire noise is studied by changing the inflation pressure and rubber material of tire body. The reference is provided for the research of the vibration radiated noise of tire and control under the true road condition.
