Based on the engineering background of deep gob-side entry retaining in the coal full mechanized face 6113 of Haishiwan colliery, and by comprehensive using of theoretical analysis,numerical simulation and the method of industrial test, this thesis analyzed, the characteristics of deep gob-side entry retaining and control technology of surrounding rock of deep gob-side entry retaining. Research results are summarized as follows:Analyzed the Stress characteristics of roadside packing body and solid rib in deep gob-side entry retaining,and mechanical mode in deep gob-side entry retaining is set up, to calculate the support resistance.More research are conducted by numerical simulation on influencing factors of surrounding rock stability in deep gobside entry retaining,drawing conclusions as follows: the broken position of main roof is deeper,stress concentration factor is larger,given deformation of the main roof is larger,plastic area is bigger.More detailed analysis was conducted on stress evolution law and deformation regulation of surrounding rock during roadway drivage, mining influence and stationary phase. Then the characteristics of deep gob-side entry retaining in 6113 working face were analyzed, getting the conclusions of roadway side support should have high strength and high plasticity, and support strength of roadway side should match mechanical properties of roof and floor.According to gateway defomation characteristics, then this paper put forward control method of surrounding rock pointedly: bolting should be as the basic support and high-water rapid hardening materials should be the roadway side support for gobside entry retaining,besides,roof above packing body should be reinforced with cable supporting, single hydraulic prop and advanced hydraulic support as temporary support in roadway.Research results above were applied successfully in Haishiwan colliery, and the social technical and economic benefit was terrific.
