Oil plays an important role in modern society, and is an indispensable part of human society. There are a variety of ways to exploit oil, and the dominant one is the rod production mode. The working environment of the sucker rod production system is complex, and the fault often occurs. These failures seriously hamper the normal production of oil. It is necessary to study on Fault Diagnosis Technology of pumping unit.The extraction of oil pumping machine operating parameters through networking, can achieve real-time monitoring of the pumping unit working state. This paper studies the fault diagnosis method of oil pumping unit based on the internet of things, studies the fault diagnosis method of expert system and the fault diagnosis method based on least square, compares the advantages and disadvantages of the two methods, and a new idea of fault diagnosis is presented: combining the two methods. Main tasks in this paper are as follows:(1)This paper summarizes the research status of the Internet of things and the fault diagnosis technology of the pumping unit, designs the hardware and equipment of fault diagnosis system, and studies the process of network networking for fault diagnosis system of pumping unit, including the Zig Bee communication between remote terminal unit and sensor, the GPRS communication between remote terminal unit and host computer. The process of monitoring data transmission is designed in this paper.(2) This paper introduces the working principle and the indicator diagram of the pumping unit. The conversion method of the surface dynamometer card and the dynagraph at the pump is studied in this paper: solving the wave equation. And the theoretical basis of the system is given.(3) This paper studies the fault mode of the pumping unit and the fault feature of the indicator diagram. The fault diagnosis expert system is established, which includes the establishment of the knowledge base and the realizatio n of the inference rules. The expert system is tested in this paper.(4) The fault diagnosis system based on the least square is studied in this paper, including the principle of the least square fault diagnosis method and the process of the establishment of the system, and the system is tested in this paper. The paper compares the fault diagnosis expert system and the least square fault diagnosis system, and puts forward a proposal that combines both the approaches.The analysis shows that this system can better diagnose fault and can meet the need of fault diagnosis in oil field.
