Composite lattice sandwich structures are widely used in various fields, because of the high specific strength and stiffness. There are so a lot of space in lattice that it have a designable value. This paper have researched a new type structure and its mechanical performance.Firstly,the preparation of X truss core sandwich structures, based on the slot-fitting method.Secondly, the out-of-plane compression of X truss core sandwich structures are researched. The out-of-plane compression stiffness and strengths are derived theoretically by the smplify model of X structure. Furthermore, the element method is employed to simulate the compressive behavior. Finally,according to the failure mechanism of X type structure,we put forward to enhance method and using test method to study the enhanced X structure mechanics performance. The study found that the buckling resistance of X truss core sandwich structures is better than pyramid in the small relative density.Then, the X truss core sandwich structure mechanics performance under shear loading are researched. Simplify the mechanical model of X truss core sandwich structures under shear loading,the shear stiffness and strengths in arbitrary loading direction are derived theoretically. Furthermore,The shear behavior are researched in test method. The study found that the shear stiffness has nothing to do with loading the direction, the shear strengths is the minimum in 0o direction and the largest in 45 odirection.Finally, the X truss core sandwich structure mechanics performance under under lateral pressure are researched. The lateral pressure strengths are derived theoretically by the smplify model of X structure. Furthermore, the element method is employed to simulate the lateral pressure behavior. Then,the lateral behavior are researched in test method. The study found that X truss core sandwich structure has good resistance to local buckling ability between the nodes.
