Lattice core sandwich structure of composite has been reviewed much more attention in the material and mechanics field for its superiority in mechanical property and design-able multifunction. The present dissertation investigates the mechanical properties of the glass fiber composite pyramidal truss core sandwich structures theoretically manufactured by RTM technology, experimentally and numerically.Review and summarize the state of sandwich structure preparation technique and mechanical property, and elaborate the purpose and significance of this thesis. Then, design a set of mold that has been prepared for RTM technique in the base of its process.In this paper, a conduction of theoretical derivation and experimental verification for its flat crush resistance and shear property. The results show that flat crush resistance is better while its shear property is extremely superior. And then, it's a study of making theoretical derivation and experimental verification of its bending property and side crush resistance, finds that its failure modes are mostly caused by local panel buckling.According to theoretical derivation and experimental observe of failure mode, pyramid lattice core sandwich structure has excellent mechanical property, especially for its great improvement in shear property. The study of lattice structure in this thesis is not only superior in its mechanical property, but also suitable for various multifunction designs because of its abundant space in the structure, so lattice structure has more broad development space.
