Piston is the key components of engine. And it is the particularity of working conditions of the piston and the limitation of material that greatly increase the difficulty of the piston machining. Considering the pistons working in high temperature and high pressure is easy to heat expansion deformation,the section shape of the piston is usually designed to be convex oval cross section. Then,what make the piston processing more difficult are that the convex oval cross section is not standard and each section is different. In order to reduce processing difficulty and reduce the cost, all at home and abroad invest more in research and try to develop the non-circular cross-section machine tools.In this paper,based on the present situation of the section piston machining of the convex oval cross, we put forward a new method called "soft modeling". Namely with the spindle rotation angle and cooperate with linear motor servo drive, we can implement the convex oval piston machining. Meanwhile, using a machine PC + motion controller ACR9000 structure model develops a kind of open CNC piston lathe control system.The followings are the main contents:1)According to the characteristics of the convex oval piston,we attempt to use the mathematical to describe the piston structure. Also, according to the discrete processing data provided by the piston factory, using MATLAB simulates the piston type line. In-depth analysis of the principles of the movement of the convex oval shape, on the basis of the Spindle rotation angle corresponding to the linear motor corresponding feeding has been established a two-dimensional table. It means that as long as the size of the cutting tools within the permissible error, which can analyze the point of the indicator to work out conforms to the requirements of the piston.2) Before with PMAC motion controller ACR9000 instead of card control of CNC machine tools, an idea called the open CNC machine tool is proposed. Meanwhile, we not only redesign the part of the circuit connection, but also detailed introduce the basic functions of the motion controller ACR9000 and the connected servo control system. And then by completing the design of the auxiliary control of PLC, we can implement the construction of the open numerical control turning hardware platform.3) Based on motion controller ACR9000, we design the open CNC system. What is more, under the conditions of PC + ACR9000 double CPU control mode, we try to make full use of the Windows platform, and give full play to the advantages of resource allocation. At last what we fight for is to complete the designs of the each function module of the open numerical control software system and the man-machine interface.4) High frequency linear servo tool holder is the key components of the convex oval piston in the processing. Adopting to the experience reference method to mathematical modeling the servo tool holder, using the MATLAB software to mathematical model analysis, and using the adaptive fuzzy PID control self-adaptive adjust the PID parameters of the control system.
