Using chain driving system in mechanism can achieve high transmission efficiency, and carrying capacity, and work under complicated conditions, etc. It has extensive application in the petroleum machinery, automobile, chemical industry, mining machinery, agricultural machinery.In order to reduce energy loss, improve the efficiency of mining, intelligent intermittent bailing type pumping unit has been developed in recent years. Its developed is of great significance especially for low production mining. Because of the complex work environment, so use the chain as the mechanical drive system. As an important part of mechanical transmission in the pumping unit, studying the performance of the chain transmission system and the work characteristics has an important significance. This paper research the roller chain driving through Combining with the actual and reach a conclusion. It has a reference significance to the design of roller chain drive way for the intelligent intermittent pumping unit in the future.The thesis analyzed the mechanical structure of the pumping unit and the chain transmission system working environment, studied the motion characteristics of roller chain and polygon effect, analyzed the main factors that affect conveyor chain running smoothness. Through analyzing the dynamic properties of chain driving, understand the chain tension of composition, and analyze the impact characteristics of chain transmission and analyze the oscillation of the chain. Is reference for later chain design. Designed roller chain drive for pumping unit system, and carried on the kinematics simulation through applying RecurDyn software, motion characteristics are obtained. To analyze the service life of roller chain, because the stress of the roller chain and sprockets in engineering failure, the chain transmission center distance changes, the chain transmission system impact load. Design the program of adjustable center distance.
