With the development of science and technology, the processing of various materials have become increasingly demanding. Traditional milling methods not only have loss, high processing components, but also are below standard in the some special materials processing in shapes or precision. Laser milling processing is becoming a new model. It has many advantages traditional milling processing cannot provide with:Noncontact, No tool wear, High precision processing. It has more obvious advantages in terms of hard milling machine materials.In this thesis, it through the use of a laser beam rotation to achieve the purpose of the material milling. it discussed about the details of excimer technology, control technology on computer interface, hardware contro l platform.The thesis researched the laser milling processing at home and abroad at first, and discussed the problems and the direction of research work of domestic and foreign. At the same time researched the study status of rotating laser beam at home a nd abroad, analyzed the effects of rotating beam to homogenized laser beam for improving the quality of laser milling processing. After analyzing of the system structure of rotating laser beam milling in the paper, it expands the discussion of each part of the hardware, software, design and construction.This dissertation based on STC89C52 microcontroller to control the platform, built hardware circuit control system. At the same time computer controlled the microcontroller by serial communication, used by Windows and visualC ++ as a controlling software development platform, and coded for Controlling the rotation of the whole control system. It also designed Optical rotating structure, built optical rotating platform, through the microcontroller control sys tem hardware to achieve the rotation of a focused laser beam.Finally, it use of rotation control system combines with five-axis platform to do experiments,and realized the motion control of processing materials, achieve the purpose of milling different shapes.
