Analysis And Research On The Causes Of The Failure Of The Long Period Running Of The Centrifugal Compressor

The 10# compressor unit of Lanzhou Petrochemical Industries Co., model TA-11000/30 with inlet flow rate of 12000Nm3/h, is produced by the United States Kolb compressor plant. Since its installation and operation in 2003, it has been the key unit to Lanzhou Petrochemical Industries Co., mainly providing the required air to the oil refining production plant.The compressor unit is composed of a shell, a gear, an impeller, an intermediate cooler, a fuel tank, a main oil pump, an auxiliary oil pump, an electric motor, an oil cooler and so on. Its structure is characterized by three levels of compression, and the three-stage impeller is distributed on both sides of the big gear, and there are two stages of the cooling device equipped with steam trap.The unit has been put into operation since 2003, and through the analysis of the failure handling process, it is discovered that the main factors affecting the long period operation of the10# cycle are as follows: 1. high temperature of the stator; 2. leakage of cooling device; 3.serious scale formation on the impellar; 4. poor effect of the oil cooler heat transfer; 5. negative results caused by instrument line loose, probe fault and misinformation; 6. damage of power supply board of the site control cabinet. All these factors have a direct impact on the long period smooth running of 10# compressor.Therefore, this paper aims to solve the problem of the impact of the machine head of the cycle operation, propose reasonable solutions and perform industrial test, find effective way to improve the 10# compressor operating environment, and ensure the smooth running of the machine head.
