The industry welding is widely used in the scopes of oil field construction andpressure vessels manufacture and so on., And nondestructive tests are very importantmeasures to check the quality of welding. X-ray detection is of direct-view andaccuracy in checking internal vices of objects. At present people commonly use X-rayshoot then judge the welding quality by reading the negative photo. In order toalleviate tiredness of People's eyes and reduce the effects on the reading data made bythe factor of manual work. We develop a special software kit of nondestructive testsystem to help people to read the data by computer.The reading system of nondestructive tests was developed on the platform ofWINDOWS. The hardware equipment of the system includes scanner, computer,display and printer. In the system, we input X-ray image from scanner, then adopted aseries of image processing technology as histogram, histogram balance, histogramenhancement, false color, image transforming, adjusting curves, edge dedection, floodfill algorithm and so on to make special process to the X-ray image, so can make imageeasy to read, display, save and print its output image & character parameters. In thispaper, the writer makes a research aiming at noise wiping, the adjusting curves, edgedetection and fill algorithm, and make a useful software kit with VC++ language.The system has been used in the North-China Oil Field. It is Proved that the systemis of great values.
