Asymmetric synthesis using chiral phase transfer catalyst is a new method that has developed since 1970's. This paper's aim is to synthesize some new quaternary arnmonium salts as chiral phase transfer catalyst and interpret its chromatogram map, research its catalytic action and asymmetric induction. Followings are the main work of this paper: 1. (ehydroabietic acid extracting from abietic acid as beginning material, by the reactions of neutralization, esterfication, hyrogenation, bromization, quaternarization get two new chiral quaternary ammonium salts as phase transfer catalysts: (-f-)ehydroabietic acetyl ethyl trimethyl ammonium bromide and (+) dehydroabietic trimethyl axnmonium bromide. 2. (+)amphoric acid as beginning material by thereactions of neutralization, esterification, quaternarization get a new diquaternary ammonium salt : (amphoric acid, o'i (trimethyl ammonium bromide). 3.All the chiral quaternary ammonium salts synthesized and their intermediates were analyzed and characterized by IR, H1MR, MS, UV, ElementalAnal. 4. The catalysis and asymmetric induction of the chiral phase transfer catalysts synthesized were studied by the reaction of Clkylation and N alkylat ion. 5.A mode for the asymmetric induction of the chiral phase transfer catalyst was suggested based on on pairs extraction theory.
