| Heat treatment is one of important processes in the manufacture of mechanical spares and instruments. Appropriate heat treatment is advantage to exploiting intensity potentialities of mental developing using property of mechanical spares improving the quality of products and prolonging service of mechanic. Mechanical spares achieve appropriate ingredient and desired quality index through heating.. heat preservations cooling and changing chemical ingredient of surface. The quality of heat treatment is affected by effect of heating heat preservation, cooling and so on. Automation of heat treatment is one of important guarantees to achieving quality index. Development of microcomputer opens up splendid future for the automation of heat treatment. Microcomputer and its peripheral equipment can not only automatic survey~ record~ regulate the parameter of process but also analyze~ synthesize~ judging technology process and processing data~ Microcomputer can improve the quality of technology process through regulating parameter. With the development of microcomputer control, the process auto-control of heat treatment will develop to accurate and highly degree of automation. For example , the microcomputer temperature control., the microcomputer carbon potential control and the microcomputer nitrogen potential control in heat-treatment furnace.We don find the report about computer auto-control for whole heat-treatment workshop up till now. It obviously that the computer auto-control to whole heat-treatment workshop can not only improve automatic level and fully develop efficiency of individual furnace, but also tighten the cooperate with all furnace~ tap the latent power of workshop and strengthen the efficiency of workshop. Therefore, researching computer auto-control of heat-treatment workshop is a important significance. According to this reality, we choose the computer automatic control of heat-treatment workshop as research object. Because axle and gear are extensively used in mechanical manufacture, The Software Design of Heat-treatment Process Automatic Control in A Gear Heat-treatment Workshop is proposed. This design mainly research system and practical software of auto-control that uses in gear heat-treatment workshop.This paper put forward a total frame of software and hardware of auto-control that is applied in heat-treatment technology of whole workshop. We write the system software in assemble language for raising control efficiency. Its function consists of data gathering.. digital trap~ data signal.. flag alarm.. digit communication and so on. The practical software edit in VB6.O. Its function embraces five aspects, dimensioning parameter setting.. digit communication. on-site monitoring. data-recording.. data-printing and so on. There is a-audio-visual convenient operation interface in this system. The operator controls every heat-treatment furnace by clicking button or choosing menu in central control room. This system not only operates heat treatment of many kinds of axles and gears but also deal with other heat treatment except chemical heat treatment.
