This paper analyses the development of landfill, and pointes out thenecessity of theroetical stUdy on landfill design.The total amount of solidwaste from LouDi city predicted by using grey theory will reach about8,049,000 ton in the next thirty years.The water quality models for CODconcentration prediction with leachate reciculation and non-reciculationwere proposed, and the maxium concentration of COD of LouDi citylandfill leachate is predicted to be l8324.0mg/l (including 561.3mg/l nonbiogradable COD).The impact of factors such as PH, electrode material,current density, electrode gap, [Cl1, and electrode area per liter etc.on theremoval of COD, NH3-N, and coIor index as well as their kineticscharacteristic are studied.The operation optimum for electrocatalysistechnology is determined by orthotropic experiment, that is PH at 8; anodematerial: RuO2-frO2-TiO2/Ti: cuurenfdensity: l0Aidm': electfode gap:0.5cm: [Cl~-]: l0000mg/l: SA/L: 50cm~2/L. And on this condition theremoval rate of COD reaches 82.6%, the current efficiency of CODoxidation reaction 3l.6%,electricity consumption 32.4kwh/m3 after 48minutes. Fnally, on the basis of these study results, the LouDi landfill isdesigned, Which including the waterway of land sdrice water and groundwater, leakproof system, gas conduction system and leachate treatmentwhich is the combination of anunonia tripping, SBR and electrocatalysis.
