The micronization of H1M1X is investigated using Gas Anti-Solvent process, and the GAS-equipment for the crystallization of I-IMX with carbon dioxide as the anti-solvent gas is developed. As one of the tnicronization techniques with supercritical fluid. GAS process can be used to micronize those substance which can be resolved in the supercritical fluid directly. The particle size, particle size distribution and the shape of ITh扞X product appeared to be largely affected by the pressure temperature and the initial concentration of the supercfltical HMX solvent, the influence regulations are described in this paper, and the impact sensitivity of the various particle size, shape of H~D( sample is tested. The GAS process could be considered as one of the effective methods to micronize explosives, and the controllable particle size and shape of uitrafme HMX can be obtained by it; The particle size, particle size distribution is largely affected by the gas pressure, the minimum particle size of I-IMX can be controlled at the sub-micron level; The impact sensitivity of ultrafme HMX is proved to be low distinctively.
