Nanotechnology is the intersection of science and technology across many fields,it is the product of the combination of a number of modern science and technology,such as quantum mechanics,molecular biology,microelectronics,computer technology,micro technology.Nanomechanics,nano chemistry,nano electronics,nano-materials science,nano-medicine,nano-biology and other related emerging discipline evolving with the penetration of nanotechnology in various fields,nanotechnology promote the development of a number of industrial technology and innovation.Nowadays,nano-materias science has been widely used in the actual scientific research,technological production,and daily life.Compared with the corresponding conventional materials,mechanical,chemical,thermal,optical and electromagnetic and other properties of the nano-materials change observably,improve the effectiveness of the materials in practical applications,and promote innovation and improvement of the technical process,Nanomaterials have been reflected in the eco-environmental protection,aerospace,information industry,have a broad application space and a bright future.Nano-ultrafine particulate material used in the drilling fluid has some scientific basis,because the part of the part of the clay particals which in the drilling fluid is in the nanometer and sub-micron range.Ultrafine particulate material in the drilling fluid has been some successes.Such as MMH drilling fluid,it uses an inorganic electropositive nano-materials with strong adsorbing water ability,can effectively inhibit the cuttings dispersion to prevent the expansion of the shale hydration,stabilize the borehole wall and protect the reservoir,and the material and montmorillonite can be formed with unique rheological properties of drilling fluid system has a special shear thinning characteristics,a substantial increase drilling efficiency.However,there are shortcomings in the MMH drilling fluid,the fluid loss excessive.Therefore,the ultrafine particulate material used in the drilling fluid needs further in-depth study.A large number of domestic and foreign literature are accessd as a theoretical reference In this paper,different particle size of the drilling fluid with ultra-fine particles were prepared in laboratory.there particle size measured by the particle size analyzer and other advanced equipment,drilling fluid properties were tested under their respective fluid performance evaluation criteria.The laws of the ultrafine particles of particle size on the performance impact of drilling fluid was explored under the drilling fluid performance evaluation criteria.Study found that when configuration of the drilling fluid ultra-fine particle materials grain size in 9?12? m or so,drilling fluid performance is best,because of its size and base paste the size of the clay is equal,give full play to the characteristics of the nano.A kind of optimization graded scheme was obtained by gradation different particle size of ultrafine particle to prepared drilling fluids.
