The thesis about complexes, which are Co(L)2Cl2, Cu(L)2Cl2, Cu (L)2(NO3)2, Zn(L)2Cl2 and Zn(L)S04 respectively, has been completed. At first, three active ligands of 2-amino-4,6-dihydroxypyrimidine,2-amino-4,6-dichloropyrimidine and 2-amino-4,6-dimethoxypyrimidine have been synthesized with guanidine nitrate, diethyl malonate ,sodium ethylate and so on . The composition of these complexes has been determined by chemical analyses and elemental analyses. At the same time, the results indicate that coordination takes place through one of the nitrogen atoms in the pyrimidine ring and the nitrogen atom of the amine group by IR, UV, XPS and 'H NMR of these complexes. With the results of experiments, the structure of the complexes has been speculated. The results of thermal analyses of these complexes show that the complexes have stability in some degree and the mechanism of their thermal decomposition has been speculated .The combustion energies of complexes have been determined by using a precision rotating bomb calorimeter .The standard enthalpies of combustion and standard enthalpies of formation of complexes have been calculated.
