In this thesis,six Schiff bases derived from 3,5-dihalosalicylaldehyde with amantadine(or rimantadine),and their corresponding twenty-four complexes with cobalt(II),nickel(II),copper(II)and zinc(II)were synthesized.These ligands and compounds were characterized.The main investigation contents are as follows,1.Six Schiff bases and their corresponding cobalt(II),nickel(II),copper(II)and zinc(II)twenty-four complexes were obtained from amantadine(or rimantadine)and3,5-dihalosalicylaldehyde and cobalt(II)chloride hexahydrate,nickel(II)chloride hexahydrate,copper(II)chloride dehydrate,zinc(II)chloride.2.All Schiff bases and their complexes were characterized by melting point,IR,UV,~1H NMR,elemental analysis.3.The single crystals of six complexes were obtained by solvent evaporation method.Their structures were revealed by single crystal X-ray diffraction.
