The thesis consists of :The objective of paper is to study on the failure behavior of delaminated composite plate under static and dynamic load. A formula of element stiffness and mass matrices for the composite laminates is deduced by using the first-order shear deformation theory and selecting numerical integration scheme. A damping model is constituted on the basis of Rayleigh damping model. A delaminated constrain model of laminated plate and a virtual interface element are respectively developed to avoid the overlap and penetration between the upper and lower sub-laminates at the delamination region. A failure behavior analysis method for the composite laminated and/or delaminated plates under static and dynamic loading is established by Tsai' s 0.44 reduced stiffness role, and the Static and dynamic equations are solved with the incremental method and the Newmark direct integral method respectively. From some numerical examples, the effects of static and dynamic stiffness and delamination location upon the failure behavior of delaminated composite laminates are discussed. The method and conclusions would be useful for the composite structures designers.
