Honeycomb jacket is an efficient heat-exchange component, which is widely used in light industry, chemical industry and food industry. Laser welded dimple-plate jacket is a new type of honeycomb jacket, which is the product combined advanced manufacture technology with new structure. And it has some merit, such as easy manufacture, good heat-exchange effect and great economic effect and so on. So it has wide application foreground. Therefore it is of importance to study the analysis of structure strength for application of engineering.Due to the special manufacture craft and the new structure of laser welded dimple-plate jacket, it is necessary to be studied by experimental and theory analysis (mainly finite element analysis). In this paper, the main study items are as follows:(1) The elastic and plastic performances of laser welded dimple-plate jacket's material are studied. And it is the groundwork of later jacket structure finite element analysis.(2) The metallographs of laser welding seam are tested. Through them, the welding seam's structure is studied, which help us finding out the welding seam's influence to jacket.(3) The key manufacture step-jacket's pressure distention process is analyzed. It mainly analyzes the relation of distention pressure and distention height. Through it. the jacket's pressure distention process becomes controllable.(4) The strength analysis is done with jacket's shell. Through the analysis, jacket's safe-used pressure is obtained. So it should verify jacket safe use.(5) Through above four items' experimental studies and finite element analysis, a series of jacket structure finite element analysis method is obtained, which fits jacket manufacture and jacket using processes analysis.
