In this paper, the jet procedure in the cold spray process is discussed. To do that, the extended-SIMPLE algorithm(considering density-correction) is used in the range of all Mach numbers, especially for supersonic flows. In addition, the shock-capturing method is used to deal with shocks. The analytical software PHOENICS is utilized to do the numerical simulation of the supersonic single-phase free jet. The calculated results are in accord with the theoretical analyse, which prove the reliability o?the results and the applicability of PHOENICS. And the assumption of the boundary conditions and discretization is also proved to be correct. The paper offers valuable references to the extended-SIMPLE algorithm and the application of the shock-capturing method to the numerical simulation of the supersonic two-phase jet flow.Based on the results received, the extended-SIMPLE algorithm and the shock-capturing method are used to study the supersonic impinging jet flow. Good results are obtained. Results of the supersonic free jet and the supersonic impinging jet will be used to direct and optimize the cold spray experiments.In the end of the paper, some fundamental research work of supersonic two-phase jet flow is done to provide the foundation of further numerical simulations of the supersonic two-phase jet flow.
