Cold gas-dynamic supersonic powder spraying method (CSM) is a new method of coating deposition. Materials' Superficies Modifying, which aims to reinforce materials corrosion-proof, antifriction, strengthening, etc., has been regarded as one of the worldwide new high-technology focuses.The distinguishing feature of CSM is the possibility to produce coatings under the jet temperature of 0-500, which is not high enough to melt particles. Consequently, avoiding the faulty caused by the high temperature used in gas-thermal methods features some important advantages of CSM. Thus the CSM technology has greater practical value and more promising application prospect compared with thermal spraying methods.In this thesis, the CSM is further investigated by experiment method based on the former research results of our research group. Firstly, a primary analysis of process of the particle penetrating the target during the spraying has been performed referring to relevant references and materials. Secondly, the original design CSM experiment device is improved and new experiment devices have been set up according to further analysis of CSM principles. Thirdly, CSM verification experiments of many kinds of materials have been done with respect to the new experiment device. And the research about special CSM craft techniques has been carried out coupled with the project undertaken by our research group.However, the research work regarding the CSM device development and CSM mechanism exploring needed to be further developed since this research work is still at the trial and error stage.
