The uniform spherical nano-partides of AgI has been prepared by silver complex. Some factors (as the concentration of silver ion and complex ions of ammonia, and reaction time ) strongly effect the size and shape of AgI particles. The prerequisite of covering of Y(OH)CO3, obtained by the hydrolysis of Y(NO3)3 in the presence of urea, on pre-existing spherical AgI particles is that surface of pre-existing particles must be charged negatively. The hollow particles of Y(OH)CO3 has been prepared by the dissolution of pre-existing particles of AgI in Na2S2O3 concentrated solutions.
