Low-pressure die-casting is a net shape manufacturing process with high efficiency. The velocity can be controlled easily and the flow of metal liquid is relatively smooth. Therefore, the castings posses high density, high quality, and good mechanism performance. The traditional shape process can't meet the demand of the market. Only by the advanced technology and means can the enterprise improve the quality and the competition ability of casting products.The computer numerical simulation technology of low-pressure die-casting has become an important tool. By which the shape process can be simulated and the results of simulation can been visualized. By which the enterprise can improve the quality and competition ability of products, shorten production cycle, decrease cost, so it has a important influence on the progress of the cast technology.Base on the above,a study on the numerical simulation techlogy of low-pressure die-casting hae been developed.The pressure field and speed field were improved on by the adoption of SOLA-VOF, many simulated results have show that the computational efficiency of the mold filling simulation has increased remarkably.A system that can protract add-pressure technical curve of low-pressure die casting has been programed ,it may be used easily and quickly in the technics.In addition, much efforts have been done in the solving of 100% filling and the results show that it is reasonable and advisable;The vector-expression of molding filling has been put forward and several modes has been developed , from which we can analyze the velocity and condition of the flow, thus providing reference for analysis of metal flow.Also some helpful attempt was made to the simulation on mold filling coupled with heat transfer, the trait and symmetry of metal flow.
