With the technical of Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0, using the C language of Win32 Console Application, revisions and further development were made on the simulation software developed by ourselves, which is for the simulation of casting solidification thermal transfer. We named the simulation software of XAUTCAST. The main research contents are as follows:1. We made the software of the filling and solidification course under the calculation in flow and temperature fielded, in order to make the software more perfect;2. Thermal parameters database is developed and set up in the simulation software with Microsoft ODBC technology. Users can add, revise, delete and search the thermal parameters of various kinds of materials , not only it is very convenient to manage the thermal properties of casting materials, but also make out the localization of the software which can not only calculate the appointed material or cast craftwork;3. In order to meeting the need for large and thin-wall castings, we made the FDM mesh grid's dimension much small and got more grid number across improving the grid mesh capability;4. We established a function for recording the thermal-time and flow-time's curve data of any place in cast;Finally, the work should be perfected further in the future is proposed.We made the simulation software of filling and solidification course for the normal casting. The mold filling processes of the benchmark test casting and a special casting in company were simulated, and the simulation results showed a good agreement with the experiments. It showed that XAUTCAST is reality and can for see the disfigurement in cast.
