Open Cnc System

In this thesis,the theory of open computer numeric control (CNC) was discussed and a miniature CNC system was developed according to ISO open computer numeric control.The system hardware consists of an upper processor and an lower processor.PC is used as the upper processor ,which implementes as an interface between user and computer and completes data process at the same time.The lower processor is an MCS-51 monolithic processor,which can communicate with the upper processor and processes realtime signals from the machine.The MCS-51 system also sends control pulses to the servo devices to driver the stepper motors according to the data process result from the upper processor,μC/OS-II Realtime Operating System was applied to design the CNC . In software design, Visual Basic, C5K 51 assemble were uesd as development tools.This miniature CNC system,with simple interface,is easy to use and produces accurate rusults.
