With the development of computer technology, the prominent characteristics of modern science and technology are each subject' s intercrossing, penetrating and promoting. During the course of theory investigating and practice, a great of problems are about to optimization. Using genetic algorithms to optimize has been the wide focus.Bolted-sphere node is the central part of spatial steel framework. In the process of machining, the factors of quality are several kinds, the numbers of processing path is very large and the real problems are so complex that mass calculation is impossible with hand. We must depend on the powerful calculation ability of computer and the optimal design means. An advancedoptimal method--Genetic algorithms is used in the optimal control ofbolted sphere node. Therefore the center' s error of bolted sphere node is analyzed firstly, the calculation formulas of center' s error are presented according to the matrix exchanging theory. Moreover the calculation means of automatic graduating angle are discussed. On the base of brief introduction simple theory of genetic algorithms, we discuss the value of each genetic operator and the means of genetic operation. Correct scheme of genetic algorithms is given out according to the special bolted sphere node. The genetic algorithms optimal program is compiled in the environment of MATLAB using the method of transferring parameters among the main function and the sub-function. Besides graphical user interfaces are programmed and the optimized results are outputted with the form of figures and letters.This discourse can be used as a reference for professionals engaged in research of optimal designing and as a reference for MATLAB developers or as a reference for employees engaged in machining of bolted sphere node. The program developed can be used in the automatic program of numerical control machining of the bolted sphere node in spatial steel framework and the automatic machining of the similar parts.
