In recent years, a new type of high-aluminium bronze die had been imported to replace some iron-based dies, such as 35CrMo et. In heat-exchanger production , the new aluminium bronze die material prosesses some super properties , such as high strength, low friction coefficient and wear-res i stace. It belongs to excellent die material in the field of drawing stainless steel. In order to realize localization of manufacture of high-aluminium bronze die material and decrease cost of copper alloy die material,the ordinary smelting process was used by referring to composition of imported high-aluminium bronze. . At present, some best heat treatment parameters of raising hardness had been found . In this paper, some friction and wear properties of high-aluminium bronze were studied so that we can find its basic usage condition.In order to study friction and wear properties of wear-resisting alumininum bronze CuHAlX , the aluminium bronze QAI10-4-4 and QA19-4 as comparaed materials.(1)Under same friction condit ions, cast ing- aluminium bronze Cu14AIX shows the lowest friction coefficient after wearing the same distance , wear rate of Cu14AIX is the most lowest in three sorts of aluminium bronze,that is to say aluminium bronze has excellent anti-friction and wear-resisting property.(2)At the constant press, wear rates of OA110-4-4 and QAI9-4 rise rapidly with extention of distance,at the kame time, it was found that serious plastic transformation and fatigue phenomenon exist on the surface of wear by sem, but wear rate of Cu14AIX decrease with raising speed of friction , it reachs to minium at the speed of 0. 7m/s.(3) Friction and wear property was imported by air-quench at 860℃-900 ℃ and tempering at 560℃~600℃, at the same conditions .friction coefficient of Cu14AIX decrease by 4.4 times,the wear rate of Cu14AIX decrease by 2. 5 times, wear mechanism has changed from serious adhesion wear to light adhesion wear.
