WangYu River is a main river linking Yangtse Raver and Tai Lake, so its water quality has great influence on Tai Lake; the water quality of Gong Lake became worse in recent years, with blue-green alga bursting, the safeness of WuXi water resource threatened. In order to control the water quality of WangYu River and Gong Lake effectively, the amount of contamination discharged to them must be calculated. So the premise is applying river network water quantity and quality digital simulation. Based on recent results on hydro-dynamic and quality numerical model, the paper summarized the model researching progress and established one dimension hydro-dynamic and quality equations which is apply to Tai Lake Basin. The hydro-dynamic model employs Preissmann implicit differential scheme to solve Saint-Venant equations, as well as the water quality model is solved by upwind implicit scheme, in addition, the paper has improved the node and bound concentration manage skill, shorting the time of calculating. The model is debugged and validated by the data observed, so it is proved suitable to simulate river network discharge, water level and contamination concentration. Using the model, the paper calculate the contamination amount discharged to WangYu river and Gong Lake by XiShan river networks in condition of typical low water year, with the concentration change course analysed. What is more, the river networks hydro- dynamic and quality integrate analysis system is developed by advanced Object-Oriented method. So large data can be show as kinds of Stat lines or table, and theory base is provided for river network water contamination control and environment management.
