Water Tourism Environment Quality Evaluation System

In the past thirty years, the environmental quality grading system has played a prominent role in the environmental quality control and environmental protection and administration. As the study and practice in this area deepen, the concept of the environmental quality grading has been extended and its theory, method and management are being progressively improved.The research object of hydrotour (the tourism utilizing water conservancy project abbreviated as hydrotour in this paper) environmental quality grading is the relationship among the water conservancy project, the environmental quality and requirements of tourists. Taking its basis on the investigation into the related essential elements, the grading procedure is to evaluate the environmental quality of the water scenic spot, according to requirements of touring activities as well as the hydrotour development and management. The environmental quality grading system consists of the grading method, its model, targets and standards. To decide the value of the hydrotour environmental quality involves researches on a wide scale, complicated operating and many indefinite factors, in addition to the lack of researches on actual examples, the hydrotour environmental quality grading, therefore, has not yet become an integrated, scientific and practical system. This research has established a grading system for hydrotour environmental quality, and made a quantitative grade based on the results achieved by deepgoing investigation, careful analysis and calculation of the related elements of the Fishing Mountain Hydrotour Spot in Yiyang city, Hunan province, to illustrate the applicability and reasonableness of the grading system and the conclusion.This research fills in the gap in respect of the hydrotour environmental quality grading system in our country, and is intended as a reference and way-paving work for quality grading of water scenic resources.
