Sweater Collar Performance Test Methods And Apparatus

In this paper, a special testing instrument which can acquire many a mechanics index of neckline of knitted sweater is developed and how to define the evaluation criterion for the performance of the neckline is discussed.The testing system is composed of a singlechip system and PC((Personal Computer).The testing part of the system is controlled by the singlechip , moreover, PC carries out the program for data collecting , processing and analyzing. These components of testing system and their functions are illuminated detailedly. Firstly the author established sixteen indexes which reflect the performance of samples and a set of math model for multi-data analyzing. Two different evaluation ways are applied for the quality of the neckline, one is that all indexes are divided into two groups according to the comfortable and durable performance. Then the total of cluster and the sort of every sample can be obtained after making cluster analysis for all samples, lastly, a discriminant function can be acquired after making discriminant analysis to all samples according to the sort of every sample. The other is that several factor variables can be summarized from 16 indexes. The score of every sample can be computed by factor scoring function. The total scoring function can be come into being only by endowing different coefficient for every factor. Combining value of the total factor scoring with the experience we can have a evaluation criterion for quality of production.The instrument system provides a trenchancy tool for'testing of neckband or other parts of knitted sweater. This testing system also makes the drawing test from artificial test to automatic test, so the labor intensity will be reduced and the testing precision will be advanced. The varied indexes obtaining from testing can create condition for knowing the quality of knitted sweater, the method for evaluating neck of knitted sweater conduce to the establishment of evaluation system for other production.
