Utilizing crop stalks producing the non-wood based panel is one of the popular projects in field of panel study around the word. But the traditional researches concentrate on particleboard, that is the process of crushing materials, adding additive and re-molding. The shortcomings are as follows: (1) Crushing will destroy stalks' mechanics properties, the good quality of lengthwise tensile strength can not be made the best of; (2) Materials' exterior area is increased, the quantity of adding additive is enhanced, so the product cost is accordingly increased; (3) The product made of particle configuration is inferior to the strip, slice and board configuration, and at the same time the use area is limited. Therefore the study will use crops stalk (such as sunflower stalk, grain sorghum stalk and corn stalk) as the producing materials, through the working procedure of ripping, wiping off core and skin, drying, applying glue, directional forming and hot pressingetc. ,the new pattern board appears--laminated lumber of crops stalk, furthermore the laminatedboard through surface fallowing, overlaying and painting etc., will be made as laminated lumber flooring of crops stalk.Through the three aspects of stalk's tissue structure, fiber configuration and chemistry components, crops stalk fiber and wood fiber are analyzed and compared. Several crop stalks' structures are similar, compared with wood the skin and core are redundant and go against bond ling. Several crop stalks' chemical components are similar to wood fiber, but the lignin content is lower, the hemicellulose content and the hot water extract content are all higher than wood fiber. In addition, these crop stalk fiber contents are all so high as to be close to wood, and the fiber configurations are similar to wood, so these crop stalks belong to herbage plants with high lignification degree. Through a series of analysis and compares, results showed that these crops stalks are fit for manufacturing high intension structural boards and used as flooring based board. The study on wetting property and bond performance of crop stalks' surface, showed that aldehyde department resin can not realize perfect bond strength. While the Methane diisocyanate resin alter the status, in addition the stalk separated extent have great influence on bond quality. When the resin content is at 8%, the every mechanic performance target of laminated lumber of crop stalk can all reach the standard of structural board with GB/T 4897.4-2003. At the same time according to the board character, producing flow, every working procedure trait and potential quality problems are analyzed and solved, the eventual examining performance can reach or exceed related technical targets of national standard. The analyse of cost profit and economy profit showed that the item research were provided with extensive realistic significance and wide applying foreground.
