Based on the critical solution temperature (CST) of thermoregulated phosphite ligand OPGPP(n=19) in organic solvents of heptane/toluene (volume ratio 0.6), phosphite ligand OPGPP was synthesized and the complex of OPGPP and transition metal catalyst was applied to thermoregulated phase-separable catalysis for the first time, which further widen the basis and application range of thermoregulated phase-separable catalysis. We studied the hydroformylation of 1-octene catalyzed by OPGPP/ Rh(acac)(CO)2 complex. Experimental data showed that hydroformylation of alkene catalyzed by OPGPP/Rh(acac)(CO)2 complex proceeded smoothly. The conversion of 1 -octene and yield of aldehyde can reach 97.1% and 96.0% respectively under the optimized conditions. The catalyst can be used for 3 times without loss of activity. OPGPP/Ru3(CO)12 complex also show high activity in the hydrogenation of alkene. Under the optimized conditions, the conversion of styrene and yield of ethyl benzene can reach 98.8%, and the catalyst can be recycled for 9 times without loss of activity.OPGPP/transition metal complexes not only showed high activity in hydrogenation and hydroformylation of alkene, but also can be separated from product easily and reused.
