With the improvement of the quality request of the aluminum foil stock used to the late machining aluminum foil, higher quality request of aluminum stock is put forward to. Aluminum stock with high quality can ensure good quality of aluminum foil. Aluminum stock quality is determined by the quality of liquid aluminum, while its quality is determined by the contents of hydrogen, and size, shape and amount of inclusion among liquid aluminum.Purification technique is the main method of decreasing deficiency by changing shape of the inclusion, decreasing amount of the inclusion and eliminating pinhole and so on. With the development of purification technique, purification effect has been gradually improved. The products with high quality demand that aluminum foil stock only has minimum inclusion. But current purification technique can't meet this demand. We believe that elec-flux is an optimum technique by systematical summing-up and comparing the phylogeny of purification technique, analyzing the theory of purification technique and comparing their advantage and disadvantage. Therefore, based on the studies of Russia we have systematically studied the influencing factors of elec-flux purification technique, built optimum technic condition, and find a way that can produce aluminum foil stock with high quality. A suit of elec-flux continuous refining equipment that is fit to industry product is designed. At the same time, a testing technique of minimal inclusion in aluminum is invented by the theory analysis and experiment, by which aluminum is dissolved by Br2-CH3OH and the content of inclusion is analyzed by colorimeter.We can arrive at following conclusions by the study of elec-flux purification technique:Firstly, the elec-flux is a current optimum purification technique. It can remove minimum inclusion from liquid aluminum. By this way, inclusion contents can be decreased to 0.009%.Secondly, after aluminum is dealt with by elec-flux technique, the extension rate of aluminum is greatly increased (the extension of aluminum is 44. 2%).Thirdly, orthogonal experiment is built and influence degree of the factors is analyzed. The factors are. the electric current, the diameter of liquid aluminum, the thickness of flux and the temperature of purification. The result shows that the thickness of flux is the uppermost influence factor, and purification temperature may be ignored under the range of elected temperature. The optimum technic condition is that the thickness of flux is 30mm, the diameter of liquid aluminum is 7mm, electric current is 15A and the temperature of purification is 720C, that is, D2C1A3B2.Fourthly, the thickness of flux is the main influence factor, so minimum inclusion can be removed under the same electric current. The content of inclusion isn't always decreased with the increment of the thickness of flux. In fact, purification effect is not increased with the increment of the thickness of flux until a peak value(here inclusion content among aluminum is 0.013%), which correspond with 20mm of the thickness of flux.Fifthly, purification effect is weakened with the increasing of the diameter of liquidaluminum, while strengthened with the increasing of electric current.Finally, Br2-CH3OH technique is a test technique that can examine minimal inclusion in aluminum. If Al2O3 is dissolved by Br2-CH3OH, its Recovery rate is above 91%. This technique can examine aluminum that inclusion content is above 0.9ug/g.
