Ucass New Bioreactor Developed Processing Performance Test Study

Sequencing Batch Reactor is generally shorted for SBR. Different from conventional activated sludge process, it adopts intermittent aeration. SBR is a suitable technology with easy operation, high efficiency and low consumption.The paper summarized all kinds of SBR technology operation processes and capability characteristics, on the basis of analyzing CASS and UNITANK, proposed a new technology ,which was named for UCASS. Author designed two equipment (UCASS and CASS) with the same of dimension, and compared with their efficiency by dealing with domestic wastewater and pharmaceutical wastewater.The experimental study revealed that under the same condition, when dealt with domestic wastewater, the removal efficiency of UCASS system was higher than CASS system. When the hydraulic retention time was 8.0h, sludge concentration was 3.9~4.2g/L, and sludge loading was 0.170~0.265kgCOD/(kgMLSS -d), the removal efficiency and economic was better.The results also revealed that the UCASS system dealt with pharmaceutical wastewater, when the organic concentration was 770~1200mg/L, sludge concentration was 4~5g/L, sludge loading was 0.199~0.316kgCOD/(kgMLSS-d), the effluent was almost less than 200mg/L, attained secondary discharge standard.
