This paper put forward a process of low cost and forming of metallic honeycomb carrier for the first time, i.e. extrusion process of adding plasticity of honeycomb carrier of cellular metal. Furthermore the studies are implemented as follows:1)the selection and forming of carrier materials and mucous dosage.2)the design of mould of carrier.3 )the molding of extrusion process of adding plasticity and discussion about effective factors.This paper detailed deduce relevant parameter of structural design of metallic honeycomb carrier, for example, the relationship between wall thickness or cell diameter and relative surface ratio, opening degree, weight ratio, cell density, etc. The principle of extrusion process of adding plasticity, flowing change law in the extrusion process, and stress distribution are analyzed. Due to influence of external friction, emphatic pressure on the deferent height of flan are deferent in the extrusion process, and reduce by decrease of height. The decrease of emphatic pressure is roughly characteristic by linearity, and angle of slope add by increase of pressure. This is the essential reason that the density of flan is not uniform along the height. Improvement and perfection are provided form theory.From experimental data and conclusion, extrusion process of adding plasticity of honeycomb carrier of cellular metal is of high productive efficiency, tending to forming, perfect stabilization of structure of carrier and precision of shape and size. It is one of advanced technology of product of carrier at present. This paper will needs promote further development and spread for a question for discussion.
