In this thesis, based on the analyzing the manufacturing and deterring technique of the spherical propellant (oblate spherical propellant), home and abroad, the porous deterred propellant was proposed in order to control the gas generation rate through regulating the burning rate and burning area.The porous propellant, as well as the single-base propellant containing RDX, deterred by dibutyl phthalate (DBP) and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA) were studied with a lot of experiments. The effect of various deterring factors on the combustion performance of deterred propellant was discussed with closed bomb tests. The tests have shown that the single-base porous propellant deterred by EGDMA have appropriate burning time, low energy loss, and better progressive burning in comparison to the single-base of 15/19.
