To simplify the production process of spherical propellant and reduce production cycle, one step of spherical propellant which means the spherical propellant is deterred when it is manufactured was applied to instead of two steps which means the spherical propellant is deterred after spherical propellant manufactured. The technology used to study "one-step" was determined by studying the manufacturing and deterring technique of spherical propellant. The basis was provided for determining deterring time by studying the relationship of the volume of steamed solvent and time. The Tri(2-ethylhexyl)trimellitate (TOTM) and Glycidyl Methacrylate (PGMA) were selected to study various factors on deterring effect in the technology of "one-step". The combustion performance of spherical propellant was analyzed with the closed bomb test. It showed that:(1)The diameter of spherical propellant would be larger by reducing the volume of solvent, gelatin and stirring speed; the bulk density of spherical propellant would be larger by increasing the volume of solvent, gelatin, dehydrating agent and stirring speed. The conditions of technology used to study "one-step" were as follows, the ratio of water and propellant:10:1;the ratio of solvent and propellant:4.5:1;stirring speed:450r/min; the volume of gelatin:0.6% of the quality of water; the volume of dehydrating agent:5% of the quality of water.(2) The deterring effect was good when TOTM or GMA taking up about 12% of quality of propellant was added at the time half of solvent was steamed. The propellant deterred by PGMA was good when GMA taking up about 6% of quality of propellant was added at the time a quarter of solvent was steamed, but the dosage of BPO and the time of GMA penetration could affect deterring effect.(3)In the same conditions of technology, the size of spherical propellant could affect the deterring effect when the spherical propellant was deterred by TOTM. The size was no significant effect on the spherical propellant deterred by GMA and PGMA.(4) The heat-accelerated aging test indicated that the transference of deterrent was insignificant within the storing time when the double-base spherical propellant deterred by TOTM, GMA and PGMA.
