| The plasticizer is one of the most important plastic assistants.For obtaining high-performance anti-chillness plasticizer, eight kinds of esters of long-chain fatty acid were prepared by esterification of dodecanedioic and tridecanedioic acid with butanol, hexanol, octanol and isooctanol ,in which heteropoly acid(HPA) was used as catalyst, and the structure of synthesized products wered characterized by spectral datas of nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR). The result shows that eight kinds of esters are dibutyl dodecanedioate( I ), dibutyl tridecanedioate( II), dihexyl dodecanedioate(III), dihexyl tridecanedioate(IV), dioctyl dodecanedioate(V), dioctyl tridecanedioate(VI), diisooctyl dodecanedioate(VII) and diisooctyl tridecanedioate(VI). Using the esterifications of dodecanedioic and tridecanedioic acid with hexanol, octanol as samples, the effects of reaction time ,mol ratio of alcohol and acid, dehydration reagent amount and catalyst amount on esterification were studied. The result shows : (1) the optimum reaction condition of dodecanedioic acid and hexanol is (2.3 : 1) of mol ratio of alcohol and acid, 0.8% of catalyst amount and 210 minutes of reaction time; (2) the optimum reaction condition of tridecanedioic acid and hexanol is (2.3 '. 1) of mol ratio of alcohol and acid, 0.8% of catalyst amount and 240 minutes of reaction time; (3) the optimum reaction condition of dodecanedioic acid and octanol is (2.1 : 1) of mol ratio of alcohol and acid, 0.8% of catalyst amount, 20% of dehydration reagent amount and 140 minutes of reaction time; (4) the optimum reaction condition of dodecanedioic acid and octanol is (2.1 .' 1) of mol ratio of alcohol and acid, 0.8% of catalyst amount, 20% of dehydration reagent amount and 180 minutes of reaction time. Using low-temperature impact brittleness temperature as standard and by contrasting with dioctyl sebacate(DOS) , anti-chillness plastifying property of eight kinds of esters to plasticize PVC as anti-chillness plasticizer was studied. The test result shows that the anti-chillness plastifying property of dibutyl dodecanedioate and dibutyl tridecanedioate is a little better than DOS, but their thermal weightlessness is weighter than DOS, the plastifying property of dihexyl dodecanedioate and dihexyl tridecanedioate is semblable with DOS, but anti-chillness plastifying property of dioctyl dodecanedioate, dioctyl tridecanedioate, diisooctyl dodecanedioate anddiisooctyl tridecanedioate is worse than DOS and other four synthesized-esters. The above result shows that the two kinds of esters by esterification of dodecanedioic or tridecanedioic acid with butanol , their thermal weightlessness is weighter than DOS', because butanol is the alcohol in C5 probably; besides the four esters by esterification of dodecanedioic or tridecanedioic acid with octanol and isooctanol, they should have good anti-chillness property, but their anti-chillness property didn't show up, because their compatibility with PVC resin is worse. The result give us some advices that if we could use them in the good compatibility resins,and if we could synthesize some no-symmetrical esters of dodecanedioic or tridecanedioic acid, one side we could deal with the question of thermal weightlessness using the alcohol in C5 only,other side we could deal with the question of compatibility using the alcohol of the bigger molecule only ,maybe we could obtain the well-property anti-chillness plasticizer. |
