The microbial agents are superiority species of bacteria selected from nature or high efficiency species of bacteria produced by gene technique. It has a lot of kinds of compound microorganisms, enzyme, nutrition and mineral salts. When it is putted into wastewater and sewage there will be large quantity microbial consortia in reaction tank, which improve the treating efficiency. Furthermore, there isn't second pollution using the microbial agents.A study on application of microbial agents has been done in the field of domestic sewage and phenol-cyanogen wastewater treatment. Experimental results demonstrated as bellow:Domestic sewage with good biodegradation could be treated in the style of adding microbial agents directly. The experimental results showed that: the appropriate operation conditions in domestic sewage treatment were temperature 30, pH value 7 about, microbial agents dosage Img/L. Velocity constant of organic compound degradation of biochemical reaction was 0.261/d. After 7 days treatment COD removal efficiency was better and reached to 84.4%. After 15 days treatment BOD5. TN and turbidity removal efficiency were better else, reaching to 88.2% . 87.3% and 93.5%, on contrast, TP removal efficiency was relatively lower and appeared at 38.3%. It would need longer time to guarantee TN removal efficiency.Phenol-cyanogen wastewater with bad biodegradation could be treated in the style of inoculating microbial agents to active sludge whose concentration, coagulation and sedimentation would be increased. Using monod equation built mathematical model describing organic compound degradation in reactor and measured its dynamics parameters. Under the condition of temperature 20 , sameoperating style and concentration in influent, aeration time 6 hour, the SBR reactor inoculating microbial agents had better disposal effect than common SBR reactor did. COD. Phenol -. cyanogen and NH3-N removal efficiency increased averagely about 9.5%. 0.6%. 3.3% and 35.1%. After inoculating microbial agents it could improve the capability of the reactor resisting changes of sludge loading.
