Paraffin oxidation is an important method of producing fatty acids in industry. With the development of agriculture, the quantity of animal and plant fats increases. Fatty acids produced through animal and plant fats are better than products obtained through paraffin oxidation, which made paraffin oxidation rejected. So obtaining a new technology and products is an important method to solve the use of paraffin. In this paper, we made further reseaches of paraffin oxidation in order to find a way to increase the yield, decrease the power-consuming and enviroment pollution.;we made some reseaches of oxidation mechanism of linear hydroncarbon and branched hydroncarbon, and obtained some useful conclusions to provide gists to industries.First, the best technological condidtions were obtained through orthogonal experiments in the self-designing device and the technology of alkali-washing-acidification of soup-fluid was replaced by vaccun distillation. The best technological condidtions were: air flow quantity: 6m3/h'Kg, initiation temperature :150 ℃ , oxidizing temperature: 125 ℃, catalyst KMnO4 quantity: 0.15% paraffin(wt.), concentration of catalyst solution: 1%. In this technology, oxidation time was shortened to 9h from (15-25h), acid value increase to more than 90mgKOH/g from (70-80)mgKOH/g.Second, paraffin and second line of distillation were oxidized continually, and the conclusion is: fatty acids can be obtained through continuous oxidation. The yield increases from 23.60% to 54.07%.The oxidation mechanisms of alkyl hadrocarbon of different structures were discussed through oxidations of paraffin, second line of distillation, cerate and stearic acid. Branched hydrocarbon oxidation progresses in the manner of tertiary carbon freeradical, linear hydrocarbon in the manner of secondary carbon free radical. We concluded that acid was produced through aldehyde in the process of paraffin oxidation. And we made researches on continuous oxidation of alkyl hydrocarbon and made conclusions, linear fatty acid was oxidized into acid and ketone of low molecular weight in the process of paraffin oxidation. But branched fatty acid was oxidized into lactone in the process of continuous oxidation of branched hydrocarbon.
