The efficiency of heat transmission is reduced and the pipeline is blocked scale formation in cooling water system, so prodigious economic loss come into being. Scale inhibitor, which has low cost and high efficiency, is applied in scale inhibition, can bring about considerable economic benefit.Polymer scale inhibitor is a most important kind of scale inhibitor. In all kinds of scale inhibitors, which are applied in industry currently, most of them are poisonous and pernicious non-environmental-protection chemicals, which are contrary to the view of "green chemistry" which is put forward recently. Therefore, it is current orientation to research and develop environmental-protection- type scale inhibitor.In this paper,ZU-101, a new type of green scale inhibitor, was synthesized ,and a new-style green teenies of synthesis of HPMA was developed with H2O as solvent. The raw material of both products is maleic anhydride and the best synthesis condition is explored. Then the scale inhibition performance and structure were analyzed respectively.The structure of ZU-101, which belongs to the family of polyaspartic acid, was analyzed by infrared spectrum and NMR. The experiment result states that the product is biodegradable because of the existence of peptide bond. Comparation test states that it has better performance than HEDP and HPMA in scale inhibition.HPMA is the abbreviation of hydrolytic polymaleic anhydride. The test of bromine value etc. states that the product is excellent product. In high calcium hardness and underground water experiment, it behaves high performance.In this paper we evaluate the corrosion inhibition performance of products by using polarization curve, and the result states that the scale inhibitors weprepared are anode-protection type 0 and loss in weight technique further verifythe better anti-corrosion performance of two green inhibitors.The two products we prepared are avirulent and biodegradable, and are coincident with the request of "green chemistry". Thus they represent the orientation of scale inhibitor, and have a bright application future.
