As a late-model biomimetic pesticide, tebufenozide has been widely utilized in North America and China, which means that more and more tebufenozide will enter into the environment. Although the desinsection effect of tebufenozide has been proved by many experiments, no one can draw a conclusion that it's an environment-friendly pesticide unless enough researches and toxicity assessments have been done. As we known, the workload of a pesticide's environmental assessment is extensive. The effect of tebufenozide on microorganisms' respiration was studied in this paper, which can offer necessary data for a whole environmental assessment on tebufenozide.Firstly, the effect of tebufenozide on soil respiration was studied. The experiment results showed that tebufenozide has no negative effect on soil respiration, while it stimulates the microorganisms' respiration in soil mixed with nitrogenous fertilizer, phosphorus fertilizer and potassium fertilizer respectively, which proves that tebufenozide and chemical fertilizers have no synergistic effect on soil respiration.Secondly, the effect of tebufenozide on the respiration of microorganisms in the freshwater was also studied in this paper. The experiment result showed that the tebufenozide has negative effects on the respiration of microorganisms in the freshwater only in a high concentration which can hardly reach in the natural water bodies unless a leak accident of tebufenozide is happened. From this point of view, tebufenozide is friendly to microorganisms in the freshwater. Another experiment's result supported a conclusion that the negative effect of tebufenozide on the respiration of microorganisms in the freshwater declines with the existence of SDBS or NO3- respectively. However, a contrary conclusion was drawn with the existence of humic acid, which proved that tebufenozide and humic acid have synergistic negative effect on the respiration of the microorganisms in the natural water bodies. As testing species, microflora in the freshwater which was collected by the method of PFU was used to study the negative effect of tebufenozide on the respiration of microorganism in the freshwater. This modus alters the anamorphic...
