Heavy medium separation is the most efficient method at present in the coal preparation. H.M.Cyclones are a variety of the coal cleaning equipment which has been widely applied to the heavy medium separation. The study which is in theory of the H.M. Cyclones is the need of the cyclone market and one of the major trends in H.M.Cyclone development.Firstly, the flow structure in H.M.Cyclones was ananlyzed and the velocity and pressure field was obtained by theoretical analysis. In the theoretical analysis, the call of suppose has been used for the study and the analysis was became to simples.Secondly, the study of the Numerical simulation In the H.M Cyclones has been simulated in the Fluent 6.1 which is a commercial CFD internet applications and the velocity and pressure field was obtained by the applications. The data has been compare for test data and the soft can be used to the study of H.M.Cyclones by the RSM model Of Onflow , the predicted results fit well with test data and the new method has been found out which the study of H.M. Cyclones is used by.Lastly, base on the theoretical analysis and the numerical simulation, the flow and pressure field was studied in all , it can concluded that the H.M Cyclones performance is improved.
